Teacher's gifts at the end of school year - hope they enjoy them as much as I enjoyed to make them.

Flowers are made from pistachio shells... decoration finished with some  small cones and spring made from cord.

Prezenty dla nauczycieli na koniec roku. Mam nadzieje, ze sie beda podobac tak, jak ja cieszylam sie pracujac nad nimi.

 My kids have smashed the glass lampshade so I replaced it by paper wicker lampshade...

I wanted to give new life to my awful metal basket so I weaved it into paper wicker.

Postanowilam dac nowe zycie metalowemu koszyczkowi wiec owinelam go papierowa wiklina ;)

 

 

Now I do like my basket ;)

TUTORIAL - how to start paper wicker basket. 

It is easy ;)

Jak zaczac koszyczek z papierowej wikliny - to proste ;)

 Prepare 4 paper tubes/sticks and bend them in half.

Then see 3 steps below how to place paper tubes. 

Przygotuj 4 papierowe rurki i zloz je na pol. 

Postepuj zgodnie z 3 krokami ponizej by odpowiednio ulozyc rureczki.

 

  Now only tighten the paper tubes.

 Prepare one more paper tube and bend in half.

Przygotuj kolejna papeirowa rureczki i zloz na pol.

 Place it like on the photo below.

Umiesc ja jak na zdjeciu ponizej.

 And follow the steps form photos below.

I pozstepuj zgodnie z krokami na zdjeciach ponizej.

And the beginning of basket is ready.

To extend a tube simply insert a new inside the previous. Add some glue.

By przeduzyc rurke wystarczy wlazyc nowa do srodka poprzedniej. Mozesz dodac klej.

How to make paper wicker tube/stick

 Prepare newspaper, scissors, skewer, glue stick

  Cut newspaper into 3 parts

Put skewer at this angle...

 and spin the skewer...

 Control spinning other hand..

 

 and put some glue at the and.

If you need long paper tube take long strip of paper

or short to make short paper tube.

If you need white paper tube take strip of paper with white margin at the bottom.
